National Mobile Application Award 2016

National Mobile Application Award 2016 is organized by the ICT Division of Ministry of Post & Telecommunication in Bangladesh in collaboration with World Summit Mobile Award, Bangladesh and supported by Google Developer Group Sonargaon & Bangla. NMA Award 2016 is an initiative to select and promote the Bangladeshi best in mobile content and innovative applications. It aims to make the benefits of the new Information Society accessible and meaningful for all humanity, and in particular, to raise public awareness and give deserved public recognition to the highest quality mobile application based initiative. The submissions are evaluated by National Grand Jury, who select the 8 winners. Being nominated for the National Mobile App Award means that your product is the best in the country in one of our 8 categories.

All winner from this National Contest will be nominated for World Summit Award 2017 to take part in the WSA-mobile global contest.











The evaluation criteria are tied to the concept of excellence in content and creativity. The notion of excellence includes the notion of innovation in terms of applications. The criteria of the National Mobile Application Award 2016 are technical in terms of content solutions and of creative uses of mobile technologies. There are five criteria considered by the Jury. The averaged sum of these five criteria is calculated as the technical score and used for ranking in the evaluation process.

– Quality of content and comprehensiveness
– Ease of use on the small screen: navigation and orientation
– Quality of design: aesthetic value of graphics / music or sounds
– Range of functionalities
– Technical quality: performance, craftsmanship, stability


The “National Mobile Application Award 2016 and World Summit Mobile Bangladesh Local Competition” is open to any company, organization or individual in the mobile application and mobile content industry.
Submissions for the World Summit Award 2016 can contain mobile applications, sms based products, mobile games and interactive mobile productions.There is no limitation regarding the platforms or channels the projects work with.
Submissions must be made in one of the 8 categories
The projects, products, or applications must be fully functional and operational at the time of submission and must be accessible via the internet whether it is designed for fixed line, broadband or mobile use.
National Mobile Application Award 2014 or WSA Winning project can not be submitted twice.
Android, IOS, Windows, BlackBerry, J2ME mobile/table/iPad platforms the projects work with.
All entries have to be real products. No drafts, demonstrations or unfinished projects can be accepted.
By submitting a project to the National Mobile App Award, producers provide the ICT Division with the exploitation rights for the submitted videos, pictures and other content for non-commercial use for the promotion of the nominated product, presented in print, broad-cast and any other forms of media, as well as for events.

All submitted products must have been completed after Jan. 1, 2015.
The producer must own the copyright of all pictures, sounds, contents etc. related to the production of his mobile app or game.
A product can only be submitted for one category. In case of multiple submissions by the same organisation, company or team, each product requires a separate registration.
None of the materials submitted will be returned. One copy/version of each product submitted will be kept in the National Mobile App Award archive. No commercial use of this archive will be made.
Incomplete submissions and those not following the National Mobile App Award guidelines will be withdrawn from the selection process without notice. There is no way of challenging such a decision legally.
Submitting a mobile application/game to the evaluation and selection process does by no means entitle a producer to any benefits. There is no way of challenging this decision legally.
Submission is free of charge.
The National Mobile Application Award Bangladesh & World Summit Mobile Award Bangladesh Organizers have the right to reject submission / entry without providing any further reason. The organizers cannot be held liable for accepting of submissions or their contents and rights.
The jury has the right to switch a submission from one category to another, if the category chosen by the producer isrecognised as not suitable. A category switch is the result of a decision by jury members.
